| The South South-East (SSE) REM is co-chaired by E-Control (Austria) and AEEG (Italy) and apart from these countries Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Greece, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia, Slovenia and Romania also participate in this gas region. This region contributes significantly to the security of energy supply in the EU, since nearly half of the European transit capacities are transported through the countries of the South-South East Region. Monitoring the proper implementation of the European gas regulation, the survey and analysis of the regional market and its problems, as well as transparency and interoperability issues are the main priorities in the SEE REM. |
