| Market Integrity and Transparency Working Group (MIT WG) The Market Integrity and Transparency Working Group (MIT WG) addresses the issues of transparency and supervision of energy trading as well as the interrelation of wholesale energy market legislation with relevant financial market legislation. Thus, the MIT WG is responsible for following up all policy actions with regard to the functioning of energy markets and the supervision of energy trading in general. This particularly includes legislative proposals and issues related to energy trading, e.g. the mitigation of VAT fraud in energy markets. MIT has one task force: - The Wholesale Energy Market (WEM) Task Force deals with all questions related to the functioning of the wholesale energy markets and its supervision. Securing the necessary level of transparency of market relevant data (transactional data and fundamental data) is key in this context and is one of the main fields of work of the task force.
