| Energy Package Working Group Following the publication of the European Commission’s proposals on the 3rd Energy Liberalisation Package (3rd Package), the European energy regulators established a dedicated working group to follow the developments in this field. With the entry into force of the 3rd Package in September 2009, The Energy Package Working Group (ENP WG) is responsible for advising on the implementation of the new legislation, in particular the setting up of the Agency for the Cooperation of Energy Regulators (ACER). The group will also draft the annual review of the liberalisation and implementation of the European energy regulatory framework. Reporting to the ENP WG is the Unbundling, Reporting and Benchmarking (URB) Task Force. The URB is responsible for monitoring and reporting on the status of the development of Europe’s energy markets.
